How do I book with Gillian LeBrun Photography?
-All I require is a signed contract and a $100 retainer (for portrait sessions) or a 30% retainer for weddings.
How long will it take to get my images?
-For portrait sessions it takes around 2-3 weeks to get your final gallery. For weddings it takes 6-8 weeks to get your final gallery.
How many images will I get?
-For portrait sessions I always say 50 or more. For weddings I like to say 50 images per hour or more. Ask to see a full gallery to get a better feel of the amount of images you’ll receive.
How many photos will be edited?
-All of your images that I deliver will be edited. I believe in only providing a fully finished product.
Can I post my pictures on social media?
-YES! Please share away! Why take pictures if you can’t show them off, right? All of my weddings and sessions come with a full print release.
When is the best time to photograph?
-I like to shoot my sessions as the sunrises or within the 2 hours prior to sunset. They are the best times to get photos in pretty, soft light. However, I am well versed in shooting in any light and am very experienced with artificial lighting as well.
Why shoot film?
-I love the way film looks. It captures light and color in a way that digital just cannot. I feel that film is timeless and will never look dated or like an “editing trend”. I edit my digital images in a way that emulates film as well. However, digital photography and artificial light definitely has a place and time at every single wedding. Being a trained “hybrid” photographer allows me to photograph your wedding in any lighting situation insuring in a beautiful wedding gallery to be cherished forever.
“Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever… It remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.”
